Troubleshooting

Something not working? Find your issue below for a quick fix.

Sources

Source shows 'Can't connect'

  • 1. Check if the website is online (visit it in your browser)
  • 2. Make sure the URL is a valid RSS feed (ends in .xml, /feed, or /rss)
  • 3. Remove and re-add the source with the correct URL
  • 4. Some sites block automated access -- try a different source from the catalog

Source shows 'Slow'

  • 1. The website is responding slowly -- this usually fixes itself
  • 2. If it persists for 24+ hours, check if the site changed its URL
  • 3. Try reducing the check frequency to every 60 minutes

No new articles found

  • 1. Check if the source website has published new content recently
  • 2. Verify the source is enabled (toggle should be on)
  • 3. Try clicking 'Fetch Now' to force a refresh
  • 4. The source may have changed its feed URL -- update it in settings

Article Generation

Articles aren't being generated

  • 1. Make sure you have active sources with collected content
  • 2. Check your blog's 'Quality Checked' count -- you need scored content first
  • 3. Your minimum quality threshold might be too high (default is 50)
  • 4. Verify your plan hasn't hit the monthly article limit

Articles feel generic or low quality

  • 1. Add more specific topics instead of broad categories
  • 2. Write detailed custom instructions in your brand voice settings
  • 3. Increase the minimum quality threshold to 70+
  • 4. Add more diverse sources so AI has better material to work with

Articles take a long time to generate

  • 1. Generation happens in the background -- typically 1-3 minutes per article
  • 2. Heavy load times may increase wait to 5-10 minutes
  • 3. Check your dashboard's 'Written' count to see if articles arrived

Distribution

RSS feed shows no articles

  • 1. Make sure you have published articles (not just drafts)
  • 2. Copy the RSS URL from your blog's 'Publish & Share' tab
  • 3. RSS updates may take a few minutes after publishing

Social media post failed

  • 1. Re-connect your social account (the token may have expired)
  • 2. Check that your account still has posting permissions
  • 3. Try posting manually first to verify the account works
  • 4. LinkedIn and Twitter tokens expire periodically -- reconnect when needed

Webhook not receiving data

  • 1. Verify your webhook URL is accessible from the internet
  • 2. Check that the URL accepts POST requests with JSON body
  • 3. Look at the error message in your distribution channel details
  • 4. Test with a service like webhook.site to debug the payload

Account & Billing

Can't log in

  • 1. Try 'Forgot password' to reset your password
  • 2. If you signed up with Google/GitHub, use that button instead of email/password
  • 3. Clear your browser cookies and try again
  • 4. Contact support@heyy.ai if you're still locked out

Plan limit reached

  • 1. Upgrade your plan from the Billing page in your dashboard
  • 2. Free plan: 1 blog, 10 articles/month. Starter: 1 blog, 30 articles. Pro: 5 blogs, 100 articles
  • 3. Article counts reset at the start of each billing cycle
  • 4. You can delete old blogs to make room for new ones on limited plans
